The years have taught me that February is no time for planting tomato seeds. Or, any seeds at all for that matter. I tested of course - learned the hard way many times over.
No matter that the garden is free of snow.
Completely irrelevant is the fact that outdoor leftovers spinach and kale survived the Winter and are currently green and alive and harvestable.
At this time, efforts to manifest Spring are best tempered with the knowledge that it is still early days. With the possibility of snow and cold still lurking. I know this.
The tiny gifts of colour that are slowly returning to the world are enough for the moment.
Wishing you a happy Monday.
