The lilacs are on the verge of doing what they do best. No small feat in this neck of the woods, when the wind gusts tend to carry with them the distinct smell of field preparations (read - manure spreading).
Our chicken coop has a new door. It's ability to close as it should is still in question, but I am considering this a gigantic leap forward compared to what was there previously. We are another step closer to the arrival of "the Girlst".
Due to our machinery deficiency, attempts to break in overgrown and unused spaces tend to look a little something like this. This "look" will not change for an entire year with the hopes that come next Spring and a bit of backbreaking manual labour, this area will be ready to plant into.
Scenes like this one make me question yet again why it took us so long to get here.
Have a great week folks.
