As I brace myself for what looks to be another week of grey with rain - the weekend of sun remains close in my mind at the moment. Very few daylight hours were spent indoors - a first for this homestead Spring so far.
And indeed, while the amount of rain that has fallen remains a problem for much of the human population, many of those who dwell in the plant world are quite satisfied. As are all manner of stinging insects who get their beginnings in standing water.....
To my way of thinking, the planting of tomatoes started from seed remains the biggest commitment to the season at hand. And mine are all tucked in. The forecast of sub-seasonal overnight lows brings me a small amount of concern, but the leap has been made.
Have a great week all. The sun will return. Right?!
