At the cue of Mother Nature and her band of rainclouds, I find myself scrambling to get a couple of rows planted during those brief moments when the clouds part. So far, kale, spinach, peas and a few herbs have made it into the soil.
The rhubarb and nettle are enjoying these wet days and will soon be ready to harvest. Daffodils are showing off their yellow hats - a bright contrast to the grey sky above them.
As has been my practice for countless years past, the year starts now. Marking the passage of time by that which is available outside my backdoor.
Happy Friday all.
